In other words, if the buyer has made a specific number of repair attempts within a certain amount of time and the vehicle is still not in running order or if the seller or manufacturer has not fulfilled warranty obligations, the law provides the buyer with financial relief. Utah’s lemon law provides this protection for buyers of new vehicles who have made 4 attempts to repair the car within one year of purchase. But, does lemon law apply to used cars in Utah?

As stated, the State of Utah does have a lemon law on the books that applies to new vehicles. Does lemon law apply to used cars in Utah? Unfortunately, no, Utah does not have a used car lemon law. That doesn’t mean, however, that buying a used car in Sandy has to be risky.
